I was extremely disappointed in their customer service and the quality of their product. I live in Oregon and I visit Starbucks two to three times a week. I am very familiar with their product and at this location everything was very off. When we ordered our coffee three of our drinks had a sour after taste. We politely talked to the barista and said "hey these drinks taste a bit off. they have a very odd after taste." she rudely replied "well you might not be used to our espresso machines" I explained that i'm a regular to Starbucks and have never tasted anything like this. She remade it and it still tasted the same. She gave me and my family dirty looks when we complained about it again. Then i tasted my cousin who got soy milk and hers tasted perfect. We did not feel comfortable to argue with her to have them remake it. Moral of story: they served sour milk in their coffee. That is unacceptable. I work in food and that is a huge problem and people can get really sick. I love Starbucks but i'd rather go through caffeine withdrawals than order a drink at this place again.

Very nice girl is serving me a caffe Americano while I'm waiting to get my car alarm installed. Good thing I have time to kill though. I've downloaded the app for my Droid and kind of figured it out and still no coffee. Had to dock down to a 2 because they didn't bother to tell me when my beverage was ready. I had to go up and ask for it. It's a really small Starbucks so I'm not sure how nobody noticed me frustratingly playing Angry Birds for 20 minutes.

This place sucks, really bad. This review is not about Starbucks, it's about THIS Starbucks. We ordered food and it seemed to really inconvenience the barista, it was not busy it was about 1:00PM in the afternoon on a Wednesday. We wouldn't normally order food from here, but were starved on our way to work and they had some options that looked good. We ordered a Turkey Panini and a Spinach and Feta Wrap with a soy americano and a mocha. The Turkey Panini was obviously microwaved, it was greasy and looked and tasted old. The Spinach and Feta Wrap was inedible. The spinach was sour and wilted, about three days older than it should be, I would assume. The cheese was not feta, possibly old/watery mozzarella, also microwaved. I understand that this is a coffee shop and the coffee was okay... but what was served to us, would have definitely made us sick had we eaten more than a couple bites. Point is, if it's a huge inconvenience to your employees who either don't have the care or are too stupid to serve "food" that isn't rancid, than you should not have food on your menu. Second problem. We paid with a gift card as well as a debit card, handed both at the same time, knowing the gift card wouldn't cover it. It was a $20.00 gift card that should have had at least $4.00 left. It had only been used once previously for a coffee only visit. (Rian) barista/cashier gave us the debit card back, gave us the mocha and our food and turned around quickly, acting annoyed throughout the entire transaction. We had to ask for the americano, which he grabbed off of the counter, said "OH!" in a loud and annoyed tone and then flipped around again. If I were reading this I would think, "hmm... maybe this guy was being a dick or something", but really this was completely unprovoked and quite an awkward experience. Then, after reviewing my bank statement, I was charged for the entire purchase. Normally, I would get over it, but in this case I didn't even eat the food. So I called them, got the manager and I was really nice. All I wanted was my gift card back, it wasn't worth it to me to bring up the food or the customer service, I was handling this on a lunch break. I told the manager that I was there at about 1:00, ordered a Turkey Panini and Spinach Feta wrap and never got a receipt. She said she'd see if she can find the gift card and she would call me back. She calls back one hour later and leaves a message, "Hey, I didn't find any gift cards, so I'll just need to know about the time you came in and what you ordered." Seriously??? So I called back, gave the info a second time, to then be told that there was only $0.23 on the card and if I have a discrepancy, I can call corporate. With the card that I no longer have and no receipt? I'll get right on that. She did apologize that I had not received a receipt and said that I can come back to pick up the receipt, but honestly I don't think it would have been accurate. It's only four or so dollars so but I feel like I was taken advantage of by the staff, technically they stole my gift card, charged my debt card, and "forgot" to give me the receipt so I wouldn't immediately notice, very shady. The experience as a whole was pretty dang terrible.

this place is always slow and very unorganized. I was told today it would be a while before I got coffee. i turned around and walked out and then saw 9 cars inline at the drive thru not to mention the 5 people waiting for their order inside

They consistently do a good job and I appreciate locations that have a drive through. Favorite cold drink is iced passion tea slightly sweetened with agave and favorite hot drink is flat white.

I had to give these guys 1 star because of the 100+ Starbucks Coffee shops I've been to around the U.S. this is my least favorite. If you use the drive through you should be ok. The parking lot can be super hard to get out of during busy traffic. The staff is very friendly, especially with each other. It's not uncommon to wait at the register for several minutes before they stop they're conversation to help you. Sometimes 4 people will see you, walk right by and no one will stop to help you or even say, they'll be with you soon. I think 3 times I've stopped here for coffee and waited so long to be help I just left without one. The Good: There's on guy who's a barista that is great. He's fast, always friendly and seems to go above and beyond to try and make up for the others. Also there's a reasonable amount of space to work and plenty of places to plug in. They updated the furniture this year and the bar near the registers even has plugs attached underneath the tables, so that's handy! Personal Bad experience: That being said a couple weeks ago I ordered a specialty Venti drink with 5 shots and tried to use my free Birthday drink for it. Although it cleary said on my phone "Show this to your Barrista" and that it expired that same day. The barrista said she couldn't redeem it because it was expired. I asked why does it say to show it to you to redeem then? She said I'm sorry I just can't take it. So I paid the $7.50 for my drink. Then she handed me a Grande instead of Large, I said ordered a Venti and just paid for it. She appologized and came back less than a minute later with a Venti. When I got to work I realized she gave me another guests regular coffee, not my $8 espresso... Any way, I didn't get my free drink or the drink I paid for or a refund :( So this trip cost me $8, a wasted free birthday drink, 20 minutes of my time and I got a black coffee for my efforts :( P.S. Here's my original review from 06/02/2014 Not one of my favorites. This starbucks has a really small parking lot and don't even try to get in and out of it around rush hour. Getting to the freeway on 21st south isn't even possible. The coffee was as to be expected, that is about my favorite thing with this location. The inside had basically no available seating except for a back corner where sounds were echoing off the walls and I could barely focus on my work. They had outside tables but they were dirty and wet because it had been raining. So if you go through the drivethru and it's not rush hour it's worth stopping for a coffee. But don't bother hanging out if you ask me

I have only used the drive thru but I like this Starbucks. They make my drink right. and they do it in a semi-timely manner. That's all I ask for. I recently moved from Seattle and the Starbucks experience here in Utah is NOTHING like the Starbucks there. The other Starbucks I have been to in this area or slower than molasses and they make the drinks wrong. But this one I can tolerate. I stop here in the morning often and I have gotten pretty good service and they have never messed my drink up. I wish they were faster, A LOT faster....But I have come to the realization that I'm just not going to get that from a Starbucks in SLC. Because I have experienced waaaaaay better, and I know Starbucks as it should be, I can only give them 3 stars. But that's better than I gave the rest. Hope that counts for something.

I visited this Starbucks four times, in the drive thru, during our stay in SLC. My wife visited it once on her own., I have a hard time giving Starbucks five stars, but there are a lot of Yelp haters who have commented this place stinks without justification. I am going to give this location five stars because the four times I visited I never had a problem, the coffee, the food, the speed to deliver my order were all good. I was very happy with my experience at this Starbucks and will happily return again in the future when I am in SLC. I am from Seattle, so I think I know a thing or two about what makes a quality Starbucks and this location is a great Starbucks.

This is my morning stop for the jet fuel and they are great. I guess I would be considered a "regular" now because they already have the scanner for my phone ready (I love using the Starbucks app) and don't even have to ask what I want anymore. It's not like I love throwing my dollars at the corporate empire but I have trouble justifying why I would go anywhere else. I love their coffee, the people that work here are really nice and it's on my route to work. If there was a local shop on the way to work would I stop there? Probably not. Would I feel bad about it? Most likely, but unfortunately sometimes (read: most of the time) idealism loses out to pragmatism for me. It can get hectic in the mornings, especially because you're competing with the drive thru but what do you expect? Not sure why Todd expects them to hold your hand when they're making your drink. Maybe you should've asked after 5 minutes rather than 20? Or maybe you had your face buried too far into Angry Birds to hear anything from the world around you. Just a thought.

This Starbucks location is great! They know my name by heart and they always get my order taken care of as quickly as they can, which in most cases I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes. I have become well acquainted with many of the hard working individuals there, Carl, Doug, Kelly, Alex, Amelia, and many more that treat me excellent each and every time I go in, which is almost daily. Anyway, just wanted to shout out to the great employees there and thank them so much for making my breakfast easy and painless for me.
